John Hughes

One of my favourite film-makers, John Hughes, died yesterday and for lots of reasons [most of which involve teenage angst and a difficult time at school] his death has really moved me.

If you want a general idea of why his films meant / mean a lot to me then you could read this article from The Guardian.

Last year I made these two pages featuring two of my favourite Hughes films and I just thought today would be a good time to share them with you.

"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."
- Ferris Bueller [Ferris Bueller's Day Off].

  1. Touching Julie, I think that the best tribute is to be able to show that somethng had a postitive impact on you. Imust have had my head in a bucket (Mind, I was getting all loved up and married in the 80s) but I missed both these films! Great LOs, love your handwritten journalling!

  3. The Breakfast Club still stands the test of time. It's my teenage movie. At the time I thought it was made for me alone. Fab LOs.

  4. I loved The Breakfast Club and was just watching an item on the news about his death. Just hearing the soundtrack again made me feel like a 15 year old again.
